Selected Areas in Cryptography (SAC) 2025 and the SAC Summer School will be held on campus at the Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Location on campus
The SAC Summer School, SAC main conference and Welcome Reception will take place at the Ted Rogers School of Management, CPA Lounge and TRSM Commons. You can also access a live map by selecting TRSM and access through Google/Apple/City Mapper.

Public transit
Toronto Transit Committee (TTC): Dundas Station The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is the public transport agency in Toronto that operates bus, subway, streetcar, and paratransit services within the city. Children 12 years of age and under travel for free of charge. The TTC has an online trip planner.
Go Transit: Union Station
GO Transit is a regional transit system connecting Toronto with surrounding areas across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). It operates commuter trains and buses to downtown Toronto’s Union Station, which is the main terminal hub for regional and local travel GO Transit has an online trip planner that helps riders map out routes using trains and buses across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).
Union-Pearson (UP) Express A dedicated train service linking Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) with Union Station downtown, offering a fast and reliable option for travelers.
Bike Share Toronto Service that offers 24/7 access to over 9,000 bikes distributed throughout the city, perfect for short trips and leisurely rides.
Google Maps also incorporates TTC and Go Transit schedules into the directions it gives for public transit trips.
Visas
Non-Canadian conference attendees should check Canada’s current entry requirements in advance of their travel. In particular, there is a new entry requirement that:
“Visa-exempt foreign nationals are expected to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens, and travelers with a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and Canadian permanent residents cannot apply for an eTA.”

Lunch suggestions
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, the area around TRSM offers an abundance of options to accommodate various preferences and dietary requirements.
For a quick bite, the Urban Eatery and Queens Cross Food Hall at the Toronto Eaton Centre (220 Yonge St) is a popular choice. It is directly connected to TRSM via the PATH system and features a vast array of options, from well-known chains to diverse international cuisine.
Across the street and also accessible via the PATH, there is a section of excellent dining options at the Atrium on Bay (595 Bay St) offers a wide range of fast food and quick-service options. This spot is popular with students and professionals alike and is easily reached from TRSM.
Along Yonge Street, particularly between Dundas and Gerrard Streets, there is a concentrated stretch of restaurants and grab-and-go establishments.
Surrounding Yonge-Dundas Square, there are numerous standalone restaurants and quick-service spots. Some popular examples include:
- Salad King (340 Yonge St): A long-standing favourite for Thai cuisine, known for its customizable spice levels and a variety of options that accommodate common dietary restrictions, including vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.
- Shake Shack (10 Dundas St E, Level 1): Offering their popular burgers, fries, and shakes (including a Toronto-exclusive maple salted pretzel shake).
- Chipotle Mexican Grill (336 Yonge St): A reliable option for burritos, bowls, and tacos with customizable toppings.
